Wooden Solar House Architecture

The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) Fab designed the house as their entry into the Solar Decathlon Europe in 2010. Wood, plywood and other materials that are not structural steel as basic material is derived from two lines of thought, the first is a solar house should be reduced to a material site and second, that the choice of wood leads to structural elements and components that are small, light and manageable.
