House on the river by John Pardey Architects – Hind House is a unique house located in the middle of a river, this construction completed in December 2008 by John Pardey Architects.

Its structure is built on the river bottom supported by steel pillars that support its weight, and assembly of the house is made of wood, cedar and zinc coatings. All materials appropriate for the climate and the conditions surrounding the house. The height at which it was built is intended to offset the rising river, but taking into account changes in tides and floods that are happening in recent years around the world I would not trust too.
Still, no one can deny that is a real luxury to have enjoy a home like this in which are combined in this forest wilderness English with its modern design, a combination that has won the award for architectural excellence of the RIBA Awards (Royal Institute of British Architects).
